Haggerston Pub booth tables The pub needed tables to work with the wooden booths that were being installed along one wall. I used a really nice old industrial table casting that I had salvaged. It was ideal as it had a post leg only on one end enabling people to fit around the table without getting caught in the table legs. I had three sets cast at James Hoyle & Son Beehive Foundry which is not far from my workshop and fitted them with white Carrara marble tops.

I made this new top for a Conran table frame by wrapping marine plywood top with 1mm zinc metal sheet and soldering the edges. As it was going outside I wanted to stop the zinc sheet from separating from the plywood when heated up by the sun, a solution to this was to stitch it down with 3mm soft copper wire.
